New Delhi: Cardamom futures fell by 0.26 per cent to Rs 1,443 per kg today as traders trimmed their holdings amid sluggish spot demand.
Besides, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing regions also fuelled the downtrend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery this month eased by Rs 3.80, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 1,443 per kg, in a business turnover of three lots.
The spice for delivery in February was trading down by Rs 2.20, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 1,510.80 per kg, with a trading volume of 145 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand mainly put pressure on cardamom prices at futures trade.
