New Delhi, May 23: A 53-year-old ‘paneer’ supplier suffered injuries when a speeding car rammed into a sweets shop in north-west Delhi, police said today.
The incident took place in Aggarwal Sweets outlet in Model Town at around 9:30 pm yesterday when the car driven by Dev Singh Bawra (23) rammed into the shop.
Ram Nath Malhotra, who supplies ‘paneer’ to various sweets shops, was at the shop when the incident took place. He suffered a fracture in his leg and admitted to a nearby hosptial.
Malhotra had gone to collect money from owner of the outlet.
The driver lost control of his vehicle while trying to avoid collision with another car on the way.
Bawra was overpowered by locals and beaten up before handing him over to police. He has been booked for rash driving and negligence.
