Five persons returning to city from Tirupati in their car were killed when the vehicle turned turtle on the highway near Wanaparthy on Saturday morning.
According to information reaching here, six persons, all belonging to Mahbubnagar district, were on their way to Hyderabad after a darshan at Tirumala in a Scorpio car. The vehicle, which was stated to be moving at a very high speed, tried to avoid a motor-cyclist coming from opposite direction near a curve and lost control. The vehicle made three somersaults killing four persons on the spot. Two others were rushed to a hospital with grievous injuries where one of them succumbed. Those who lost their lives were identified as Janardhan, Narayana, Venkatesh, Pavan Kumar and Shekhar. (NSS)
