A car speeding towards Shamshabad airport from Gachibowli on the Outer Ring Road hit the road divider at Himayatsagar near Rajendranagar on the city outskirts and caught fire this morning.
However, the car driver escaped miraculously. As it was heavily raining, the driver, who was driving the car at high speed, lost control and hit the road divider. The car caught fire while the driver escaped unhurt.
On receipt of the information, fire fighting squad rushed to the spot and put out the fire. However, the car reduced to ashes.
In Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, one person died on the spot, six others were grievously injured when a car speeding towards Nellore from Eluru hit road divider and fell down from the flyover on the National Highway near Tanguturu. Police rushed to the spot and took up investigation. (NSS)
