Islamabad, May 20: A car bomb went off in Peshawar city in northwest Pakistan on Friday, killing one person and injuring 10 others, police said.
The blast occurred in Jamrud Road area of Peshawar on Friday morning, officials said.
Security forces cordoned off the site of the explosion and launched a search operation.
No group claimed responsibility for the blast.
The motive for the attack could not immediately be ascertained.
An SUV bore the brunt of the blast and rammed into an electricity pylon.
The dead man was believed to be a passer-by.
Doctors described the condition of one of the injured as serious.
