HYDERABAD: It is unfortunate that a mighty cannon, a military ware of historical significance still lying unprotected atop at the Golconda Fort due to official negligence.
With authorities like Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) showing no interest in protecting the cannon, people, mostly visitors are unaware of it vandalising it by writing their names on it.
Not only this, they are also seen sitting atop it that is having “Aurangzeb, Ali and Mohammed”- The Persian inscriptions engraved on the top surface for the sake of photographs.
If this negligence continues, these old pieces of artillery will soon turned into a heaven miscreants.
