Canadian organization, “Fi Sabilillah” plans welfare activities in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A welfare organization of Canada by name, “Fi Sabilillah” has come forward to extend its welfare activities to Hyderabad in collaboration with Siasat Urdu Dialy to uplift poor Muslims of the City. Chief of this organization, Ms. Fouzia Husaini and a Chief Patron and Advisor, Mr. Aziz Husaini who are on a visit to Hyderabad called on Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily. They applauded the welfare activities of Siasat Urdu Daily. They have the honour of offering services to Muslims in various parts of the world like Palestine, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kenya, Tanzania and certain other countries of Africa.

Although this organization consists of ladies, their passion for social service is laudable. Govt. of Canada also appreciated the services of this organization. The ancestors of Mr. Aziz Husaini hail from India. He take pride in being an Indian. Mr. Aziz Husain and his wife belong to British Guiana which was under the British rule till 1966. Later, it formed the part of South America. Both wife and husband migrated from British Guiana to Canada and settle down in Canada permanently. The atrocities meted out to the Muslims at various parts of the world shook their hearts. Initially they started welfare activities individually, later in 2001, they founded the organization “Fi Sabilillah”. This organization distributed garments to the poor Muslims of Hyderabad for which they had sent a container. This organization also helped Pakistanis and Indians on the occasion of flood in Kashmir.

Talking to the Staff Reporter of Siasat both told that they are very much impressed with the welfare activities of Siasat Urdu Daily. Ms. Fouzia Husaini told that their organization had 30 lady members and many volunteers who work for the organization. Although this organization does not collect donations, philanthropists donate money. This organization had recently helped 38 families of Syrian Refuges who are stationed in Oman, capital of Jordan. It provided artificial limbs to Palestinians. It also established a maternity Ward in Afghanistan.

They told that they plan to extend their welfare activities in collaboration with Siasat Urdu Daily. They informed that Ms. Yasmeen Siddiqui of Hyderabad invited their attention which prompted them to help the people of Hyderabad.

Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily gave the details of various welfare activities of Siasat Urdu Daily especially financial assistance provided to poor Muslims girls for marriages and educational activites. He also told that Siasat Urdu Daily offers vocational guidance for admission into professional courses. He made a special mention of Old Age Home which the couple inspected.
