Hyderabad: IT Minister KT Rama Rao today appealed to a team of Canada High Commission officials, which is exploring business possibilities in Telangana to invest in IT, healthcare and pharma sectors.
When Canada second secretary Andria Davidson and senior economist Tejdeep Kaur met him, the minister apprised it of new industrial policy that offers all permissions in just 11 days. He also informed about better policies, strong leadership, stable government and transparent steps to move on fast pace and put economy on growth trajectory.
KTR said that the new state is all set to welcome industry majors and business honchos of international importance in a big way with all support and permissions. Telangana is potential state and its capital is a global destination for many noted companies he further said. The minister asked the Canada team to promote business and industries in healthcare, IT and pharma sectors. The state surpassed the major challenge of power usage and came up with many flagship programs like Mission Bhagiratha to provide safe waters to every house hold and irrigation of lakes through Mission Kakatiya. The government is to spend Rs 1 lakh crore on power and irrigation and allied sectors in future, KTR said. (NSS)
