Want to increase your chances of getting a job? Grow a beard – but only if you are a man.
To test the beard theory, Javier Sanz posted his resume on an online marketplace, where one resume had his clean shaven picture and another featured his bearded look, Metro.co.uk reported.
Sanz soon found out that potential employers replied to 12 percent of his applications when he was facial hair-free, but with the beard, his response rate increased by 35 percent.
Sanz explained on his blog that he is 26-years-old, but looks younger than his age and his face says that he’s an irresponsible teenager, who shouldn’t be hired.
Sanz added that he looked for a way of giving a first responsible, image of guy who is going to get-work-done impression and choose to fake a beard with Photoshop. (ANI)
