Hyderabad, January 26: South Zone Police has continued its campaign against the money lenders who charge exorbitant rates of interest and cause inconvenience to poor persons. Police has so far arrested 55 such money lenders including 17 Muslims.
DCP Mr. Naresh Kumar Sinha is taking action against the money lenders in South Zone of the old city of Hyderabad. He informed that since 19th January 55 money lenders have been arrested. Police seized the promissory notes and other articles. The money lenders have been arrested from Charminar, Chatrinaka, Shah Ali Banda, Falaknuma, Chandrayangutta, Kanchan Bagh, Bhavani Nagar, Moghalpura, Bahadurpura, Husaini Alam, Santoshnagar, Rain Bazar, police stations. He warned the money lenders to refrain from their evil designs. He produced the money lenders in front of the press reporters and requested the people to inform the police about the money lenders.
