Cameroon: 30,000 refugees flee violence in Anglophone region

Cameroon: Nearly 30,000 refugees have reportedly fled to Southern Nigeria from the violence in English speaking southern Cameroon region- Anglophone region, and now these refugees are left with no sufficient food or suitable living in the area.

The Government has imposed a ban on public gatherings along with suspending transportation and shutting down the businesses in the area in the wake of violence in the region. The activists are demanding an independent state from the French and English speaking states.

Nigeria refugee agency along with few other non-governmental organizations are now looking after these refugees in Southern Nigeria, Al Jazeera reported.
