Call off stir, CM tells RTC workers

Even as RTC strike continued on fifth day, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today directed the Cabinet sub-committee to submit its report for an amicable solution.

Calling upon the striking RTC employees to withdraw stir, the Chief Minister said in the interests of the public they must resume duties. KCR directed Cabinet sub-committee chairman Nayani Narsimha Reddy, members Etela Rajender and Mahender Reddy to hold talks with the RTC workers, management and officials before submitting report. Based on the report, the government will take an amicable decision, he said.

The Chief Minister also held a separate meeting with RTC managing director Ramana Rao on the situation and took stock of the incidents. The government is ready to take all steps for speedy withdrawal of the strike. (NSS)
