Yadagiri Reddy, correspondent of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s Sakshi newspaper has applied for anticipatory bail in the case pertaining to the leakage of the call data of the CBI JD Lakshmi Narayana and his classmate Vasi Reddy Chandrabala.
On a complaint from Chandrabala, the state Human Rights Commission has directed the police to investigate the matter. Consequently, Cyber Crime police have registered a case naming Yadagiri Reddy as the prime accused. Police said that they found that the Nacharam Inspector Srinivasa Rao had provided the data on the request of Yadagiri Reddy.
Police were trying to arrest Yadagiri Reddy and it was reported that he had gone underground.The reporter denied reports of disappearance and filed a petition seeking anticipatory bail in the Cyberabad Metropolitan Sessions Court. He said in the petition that he had nothing to do with the phone call list leakage as well as the news report published in the Sakshi newspaper on the matter.
He said he was implicated in the case through a conspiracy and argued that all the charges made against him in the FIR were false.
Claiming that he was a law-abiding citizen, Yadagiri Reddy informed the court that he was a native of Narkatpalli in Nalgonda district and would never go underground. He has assured that he would cooperate with the investigating agency, if given bail.
