Hyderabad: In order to eradicate certain suspicions and doubts of the parents and guardians of the students of junior colleges, Board of Intermediate Education has decided to setup call center at its office. This was disclosed by Dr. Ashok, Secretary of the Board. He also said that within a week, this call center would be made functional. It will be linked to facebook and twitter. Using Interactive Response System, anyone could contact the office. This center would function for 12 hours. Parents and guardians can seek information on phone. This center would be linked up to junior colleges. So far, 1745 junior colleges have submitted their applications for this purpose. The classes for intermediate would be started in junior colleges on 1st June.
He also informed that Board of Intermediate Education permits only Govt. and Private junior colleges but not the residential junior colleges. At present, the board has 27 vacancies of junior assistants. Proposals have already been sent to PSC to fill up these posts. In Govt. junior colleges, there are 340 posts of junior lecturers and 400 posts of non-teaching staff which are vacant. Steps are being taken to fill up these posts.
