Call center inaugurated by Rachakonda police

Hyderabad: As an important step for community friendly policing policy, Rachakonda police started a call center. With the help of this call center, police will elicit public opinion about the facilities police is providing to the people.

This call center was inaugurated by Addl. DGP of Telangana State, Mr. Anjani Kumar, IPS. It has been established at Saroornagar women’s police station where experienced staff will elicit opinions from the public so that improvements could be made in the functioning of the police and also to provide better facilities to the people.

Commissioner of Rachakonda Police, Mr. Mahesh Murlidhar Bhagwat, IPS told that the four member staff of the call center will talk to all the complainants who had reported their grievances to the police. He further told that the important objective of this call center is to bring people closer to the Police Dept. and also to provide better facilities to them. He mentioned that in this system, the functioning of the police officials could be improved and the quality of functioning of police will also be enhanced. The feedback of negotiations between the citizens and the staff of call center would be recorded. The names of the complainants would be kept secret.
