Telangana CPI Secretary Chada Venkat Reddy today said that the TRS Government should waive the crop loans up to Rs one lakh in the region.
Talking to presspersons here, he demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao call an all party meeting to sort out the issue. He maintained that KCR came to power by creating confidence among public through crop loan waiver and many other sops. Now that the waiver will cost more for State Exchequer, the CM talking otherwise, he alleged.
Reddy stated that the TRS has to keep its manifesto promises and assurances given. It is good to waive all loans and extend a helping hand to poor farmers who are committing suicides as they cannot pay back. Besides the waiver, the Government should initiate steps to give fresh loans for Kharif, he demanded.(NSS)
