JOB SUMMARY AND KEY OBJECTIVES
Support Mechanical design and engineering activities for Structural Concepts in the US from the India Engineering Center. Develop design and detail drawings for new and existing customers under the direction of the Lead Engineer.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1 . General Requirements
Prepares layouts, assembly and detail drawings. Provides accurate layouts, component and assembly drawings. Monitors and controls objectives and timetables of designs, and drafting in conjunction with the engineering lead. Interacts with engineering team in US to generate CAD documentation that meets internal and external customer requirements.
Participates in design / drawing review activities as requested. Interacts with Engineering Team in the US to provide and receive project design direction on new and current customer specifications. Coordinate workload with Engineering Lead to support requirements and timelines.

Possess knowledge of industry mechanical drafting techniques and standards
Travel / Training in US Ability to travel to US and stay for an extended period of time in the US for training purpose as when required. Max length of stay would be 1 2 months at a time
2. Detail Drafting & Documentation Requirements
Self check and correct all work prior to submitting as completed
Insure design and drafting style consistencies on all designs
Seek out clarity and advice from team designers / drafters as need to insure accurate job expectations up front.
Communicating with suppliers to obtain and confirm information on products necessary to complete drawings and designs

Experience in the use of Solid Works CAD Software

Knowledge of Industry drafting techniques & Standards
Very Good Communication Skills in English
Experience working with American Company preferred
