Hyderabad, October 13: Raising hopes among hopefuls, Congress MP Rayapati Sambasiava Rao today said that chief minister K Rosaiah will reconstitute his cabinet by the end of this month.
Sambasiva Rao, after conferring with Rosaiah earlier in the day, said party president Sonia Gandhi will give the go ahead signal to him with regard to Cabinet reshuffle. He felt that the Cabinet reshuffle was put on hold because the party leadership was preoccupied with Karnataka political crisis.
The Guntur MP, who brought pressure on the chief minister and the party leadership for removal of tainted ministers from the Cabinet and even went to the extent of saying that Rosaiah should quit if cannot pull out ministers against whom there are corruption charges, appeared to have mended fences with the chief minister.
After his tete-a-tete with the chief minister, Rao heaped praises on Rosaiah. “Rosaiah is an able chief minister. He has put back the state’ economy on rails after the financial crisis that crippled the administration immediately after he took over,” Sambasiva Rao said.
Asked why he met the chief minister, Rao said: “God will not go to devotee.
The devotee only goes to God.”
