New Delhi: The union cabinet was on Tuesday briefed about the Pathankot attack, sources said.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar informed the cabinet, in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, about the operations and the evidence collected from the killed terrorists.
Parrikar, during a briefing at Pathankot, had said some articles found with the slain terrorists appeared to be made in Pakistan. The probe is now being undertaken by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj also briefed the cabinet about the discussions between National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and his Pakistani counterpart General Naseer Khan Janjua.
The Pathankot air base came under terrorist attack in the early hours of Saturday. India lost seven security personnel while six terrorists were killed.
