Cabbie father held for ‘raping’ daughters

Hyderabad: In a shameful incident, a 42-year-old father has been arrested on charges of allegedly raping his two daughters.

According to the Cyberabad police, Kukutla Srinivas, a resident of Langar Houz was married to K Sathyarani, 30 in 1998. The couple is blessed with two daughters aged 16 and 15.

However, Sathyarani separated from Srinivas after learning about his affair with one Kalpana, with whom he had a son.

The accused committed the heinous act when the girls were studying at Mandapet, in East Godavari district. “They lived in a private hostel near their college and he used to visit them regularly,” said Rajendranagar Inspector V Umender.

When the mother of the girls got to know that her husband has been sexually abusing her daughters, she brought them to the city and enrolled them in a private college.

This didn’t stop the accused. He started coming home again and even stayed at their house for days. He allegedly makes advancement towards them when the girls were sleeping.

The mother decided to lodge a police complaint against her husband for sexually exploiting the daughters.

Srinivas has been arrested and a case under Section 376 (2) (f) (i) of IPC and Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) registered against him.
