NEW DELHI: A heart-warming video of Sikhs delegation from Punjab greeted with warm hugs and smiles on their arrival at Shaheen Bagh has gone viral.
In a bid to express solidarity, hundreds of people from all across the country lending their support to the Shaheen Bagh as their resistance against the withdrawal of the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and a proposed pan-India National Register of Citizens (NRC)
And recently, a delegation of some 500 comrades including women arrived in eight on Wednesday to support the women-led protest in Shaheen Bagh.
A Twitter handle by the name ‘Shaheen Bagh Official’ put out a video of the protesters welcoming the farmers delegation.
Before arriving at the protest site, the buses of the delegation from different organisations were stopped “3 km away from Shaheen Bagh” by two police vehicles and were ‘escorted’ to spend the night at Gurudwara Balasaheb.
The farmers then left Bala Sahib Gurudwara for Shaheen Bagh on Wednesday morning.
“It is amazing, watching Muslim women in veils raising ‘Inquilab zindabad’ slogans as loudly as they can. They are so inspiring, really,” said Binder Singh Alkh, Mansa district unit president of the RYA.
The Sikh brothers have been offered the mosque premises for bathing and other purposes. Langar prepared by Shaheen Bagh volunteers was served to them.

This is not the first time. Earlier, in January, Sikh farmers and activists as well as a heavy number of women had reached Shaheen Bagh and also set up Langar (community kitchen) for the protesters.
