HYDERABAD: A public meeting to be organised in Hyderabad against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens and National Population Register.
The meeting will be held on Monday, 13 January, 2020 from 2 to 6 pm at Crystal Garden Function Hall at Attapur, pillar No. 86 in Hyderabad.
Former University Students Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar will address the meeting against CAA, NRC and NPR.
A huge no of people are expected to attend the meeting where Dr. K Narayana, CPI National Secretary, Chada Venkat Reddy, CPI State Secretary, ET Narsimha, CPI Hyderabad Secretary and Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor The Siasat Daily will also express their views.
Excluding Muslims, the Citizenship Amendment Act grants citizenship to six non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who came to India till December 31, 2014.
