CAA-NRC-NPR: Akbaruddin Owaisi criticizes Modi, Shah

Hyderabad: Akbaruddin Owaisi, MIM MLA representing Chandrayangutta Assembly Constituency criticized Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), 2019, National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR).

CAA is against Constitution: Owaisi

Addressing a public meeting, Owaisi said that he has no objection over Central Government’s decision to give citizenship to non-Muslims. ‘I am against the law as it violates articles of the constitutional’, he added.

Continuing his speech, he said that before asking citizens to prove their citizenship, Modi and Shah should resign, prove their citizenship and then contest elections.

During the address, he appreciated everyone who took part in protests against the laws.

It may be mentioned in Hyderabad too, two massive protests, Million March and Tiranga Rally took place.

Women to stage 48-hour protest

A 48-hour protest is scheduled to be held at Darulshifa Ground against CAA, NRC and NPR. In the protest meeting, women will express their views against the controversial laws.

This protest meeting will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, 25th January.
