Mr. C Prabhakar IAS, director of Disabled Welfare on Monday took additional charge of vice chairman and managing director AP State Minority Finance Corporation (APSMFC) and Minority Welfare Commissioner. Mr. Prabhakar on Monday reached the office of Minority Finance Corporation and took his charge. He convened a review meet with the officials of the corporation on the performance of the corporation. After the superannuation of MA Waheed IFS, the government gave charge of both the departments to C Prabhakhar on May 31.
It is said that government is looking for a suitable officer for the posts of Director Minority Finance Corporation. A panel comprising the names of some officers has been prepared in this connection.
Earlier in charge principal secretary Raymond Peter had recommended the name of Jalaluddin Akbar IFS for Minority Finance Corporation and Ahmed Nadeem IAS for minority Welfare Commissioner however both the officers are said to have refused to serve in minority welfare department.
