The Rayalaseema Hakkula Parirakshana Samithi (Rayalaseema Rights Protection Committee) president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy today took a serious exception to the reported comment of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu that he too was a son of Rayalaseema.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Byreddy said it was shame on the part of Chandrababu Naidu to say that he was also a son of Rayalaseema. Byreddy alleged that Chandrababu Naidu has not only violated Sribhag Agreement but also prevented medical seats to the Rayalaseema students by issuing GO No. 120. How Chandrababu Naidu) can say he would work till his last breath for the development of Rayalaseema region, he asked. Byreddy also said he was ready for a debate with Chandrababu Naidu on the injustice meted out to the Rayalaseema region. He challenged Naidu for an open debate on the issue. “The Rayalaseema people don’t want any false promises. They want water for irrigation,” he said. (NSS)
