New Delhi: The saffron party and its allies bagged 26 seats of the 51 seats in the UP- by-Election 2019 conducted in 18 states.
The party had contested for 11 and won 8, but suffered major setbacks in Gujarat and Bihar while Congress won 12 seats, TOI reports.
Other parties like SP emerged out as a major gainer despite NDA retaining eight of the nine seats fighting BJP and BSP.
Whereas in Gujarat, saffron party lost three of the six seats to Congress.
