Bypolls in Bihar semi-final for Congress: Tytler

Muzaffarpur, September 08: Senior Congress leader and in-charge of the party’s Bihar affairs Jagdish Tytler today said his party treated the bypolls to the 18 Assembly constituencies in the state is like as ‘semi-final’.

“We are treating the bypolls as the semi-final. In the final (the elections to the state assembly due towards the end of next year) you will see the Congress replacing the ineffective and infficient Nitish Kumar government,” Tytler told reporters.

Holding the state’s NDA government for alleged ‘sorry state of affairs’ in Bihar, Tytler said people had made up their mind for a change and Congress alone was capable of ensuring good governance.

He once again ruled out the possibility of the Congress having trucks with the RJD or other regional parties in Bihar in future.

Tytler charged the state government with ‘improper and misutilisation’ of the funds allocated by the Centre under centrally-sponsored schemes and NREGA.
