Businessman robbed of cash by two on motorbike

New Delhi, June 15: Two motorcycle-borne miscreants allegedly looted about Rs three lakh from a businessman outside a Punjab National Bank branch in east Delhi today, police said.

The incident was reported to have taken place at around 1:45 pm in Vivek Vihar, they said.

One Gulshan Chawla, who runs a milk distribution agency in Vivek Vihar area, was reportedly on his way to the bank to deposit Rs 3.30 lakh cash. His cousin Deepak was also accompanying him on the same scooter.

As Chawla reached the bank, two miscreants allegedly came on a motorcycle from behind and hit his two wheeler, knocking off Chawla and his cousin from their vehicle.

Before they could react, one of the miscreants allegedly brandished a pistol, snatched the bag containing cash from the businessman and fled the spot, police said.
