Lucknow, May 19: A prominent city businessman allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol at his office here, police said today.
38-year-old Ashish Shukla, who owned a real estate firm, shot himself dead with his licensed pistol at his Gonvida apartment office in Hazratganj area yesterday, they said, adding that no suicide note was found from the room.
Police claimed Shukla was under depression due to some financial problems. Investigations are on to ascertain the reason of the suicide, they said.
