Businessman among two commits suicide

A 38-year-old businessman committed suicide allegedly due to financial problems.

According to Keesra police, the deceased, S Ramalinga Reddy, took the extreme step by consuming some unknown poison in an agricultural field near his residence in Bhavani Nagar of Nagaram in Survey No 94 on Monday. He died on the spot.

In another case, 40-year-old Sabawat succumbed to the burn injuries which she sustained on January 29 after setting herself ablaze at her residence in Gandhi Nagar. She died at the Osmania General Hospital on Tuesday while undergoing treatment. According to Maheshwaram police, Sabawat’s husband Krishna was unemployed and they had three children including one daughter. Financial problems are suspected to have driven her to suicide. (INN)
