(Siasat News) As a consequence of price rise in Diesel, A.P.S.R.T.C. is forced to enhance bus fares. This is the third time that APSRTC would be increasing bus fares. For the first time it had increased bus fares in the month of May. The second time it had to increase in July on account of anti-Telangana agitation in Seema Andhra region which result a huge losses to the corporation.
It is said that APSRTC is incurring a loss to the tune of Rs.4,000 crore. It has taken loan to the extend of Rs. 4,000 to compensate this loss. Seema Andhra agitation has resulted in huge losses. Nearly 12000 buses have been withdrawn from the roads. It is incurring a loss of Rs. 12 crore per day.
