New Delhi, November 10: A 40-year-old bus driver has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife at their Najafgarh residence here. Rajesh, a father of three, lodged an FIR on November 3 about his wife Saroj going missing. He also raised suspicion on her paramour, south west district police today said. Police initiated the investigation and came to know that the accused had very strained relationship with his wife because of her alleged extra-marital affair.
It appeared that the complainant Rajesh was dodging the police and was involved in the crime. He was going back step by step from his statement. We also came to know that on the intervening night of November 2-3, there was an altercation between Rajesh and Saroj and thereafter she went missing, they said.
He broke down after the police toughened its questioning on him and confessed of killing his wife and dumping her body in bushes near Chhawla drain using his mini bus. Their elder daughter is serving in CRPF in Rajasthan.
