New Delhi [India]: Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2017 was not just about fashion and style on its Day two, courtesy Huemn.
Designer duo Pranav Mishra and Shyma Shetty showcased their line, heavily influenced by the socio-economic and political ambience of the recent time, with their burqa and hijab-clad models on the runway.
Speaking about the collection, the duo emphasised, “The collection is heavily influenced by the socio-economic and political ambience of our times which is far from ideal.”
The collection celebrates diversity and inclusion and ‘HUEMN’ man/ woman is an individual in their own right.
On this note, it has been just a month that Kanye West made headlines with his Yeezy Season Five presentation at the New York Fashion Week, where he featured the hijab-wearing model Halima Aden.
Last September too, New York Fashion Week had a collection, presented for the first time, where every model walked the runway wearing a hijab. (ANI)
