Burma: There is a reason why India needs to intervene in Burma crisis as the ongoing crisis in Myanmar hasn’t limited itself to murder of only ‘Muslims’, rather as per the statistics, at least 86 Hindus have lost their lives while over 200 Hindu families are reported to have fled to the forest areas to escape the onslaught of Burmese Army and Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army, local television reported on Tuesday.
While hundreds of innocent people have been killed in trouble-torn Rakhine state of Myanmar, Hindu residents are claiming that their houses were also set on fire by Army, the migrants are now taking shelter in Cox Bazaar area of Bangladesh.
“The Burmese army and ARSA stormed into our localities and started killing hundreds of people by slitting our throats or stabbing us. After killing our family members, they burnt our houses only to let us escape with their life,” said Kalu Seal, one of the migrants who managed to escape from Myanmar.
“A few masked men stormed into our village and created significant chaos and destruction,” Ramani Dhar, another migrant was quoted by local television as saying.
Around 3,00,000 Rohingya have entered Bangladesh in last two weeks which has already been hosting 400,000 Rohingyas for three decades.
