Burglars strike at banker’s house

Some unidentified burglars broke into a house of a banker and decamped with cash, gold and silver ornaments.

According to Alwal police, the theft took place at the house of one K Charan Srujan Kumar, an employee of a bank, in Venkata Ramana Colony late on Saturday night. Charan, along with his family members, had gone out to watch the second show of a movie after locking his house. The burglars entered the house from the rear side. They broke open the main door and committed the offence.

They decamped with 15 tolas of gold, two kilograms of silver and Rs 25,000 cash.

The theft came to light when Charan returned the house after watching the movie. He immediately informed the local police which rushed to the spot along with the Clues Team. It began investigation after registering a case under Section 457/380 (Burglary) of the IPC, according to Alwal Inspector SV Hari Krishna. (INN)
