Hyderabad, November 18: Justice Nausheed Ali of A.P. High Court permitted Dr. Abdul Haq Unani Medical College to admit candidates in BUMS course subject to the final judgement of High Court.
Dr. Syed Mahboob Pasha Principal and Mohammed Dawood Khan Secretary, Anjuman-e-Islamia, Kurnool had filed a writ petition against the Director AYUSH Central Council of Indian Medicine and NTR Health University, challenging the orders for stopping admission in BUMS for non-compliance of certain requirements.
Earlier, Central Council of Indian Medicine had issued satisfactory report after inspecting the college but the Dept. of Indian Medicine, A.P. had raised objections regarding the in-patient beds.
The judge was convinced about the contention of the management and allowed it to admit candidates for the academic year 2011-12 pending High Court decision.
