Bulandshahr violence a ‘pre-planned’ conspiracy: UP Min

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Welfare Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar on Tuesday alleged that Bulandshahr violence, which claimed two lives, including that of a cop, was a “pre-planned” conspiracy by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

“This is a pre-planned conspiracy by the VHP, Bajrang Dal and RSS, now police is even naming some BJP members. Why protest happened on same day as Muslim Ijtema event? It was an attempt to disturb peace,” Rajbhar told ANI.

Station House Officer (SHO) Subodh Kumar Singh and a local youth, identified as Sumit, were killed in Bulandshahr yesterday when a mob went on a rampage over allegations of illegal cow slaughter.

Singh was also the Investigating Officer (IO) the 2015 Dadri, Mohammed Akhlaq lynching case. Akhlaq was lynched by an angry mob on suspicion of cow slaughter.

Additional Director General (Law and Order) Anand Kumar informed that four people have been arrested so far while the main accused, Yogesh Raj is still on the run.
