Hyderabad: The Congress on Friday termed the budget presented by the Chief Minister as completely disappointing and added that the figures presented by the government gave a poor state of affairs of Telangana.

Speaking to mediapersons after the presentation of the budget by the Chief Minister, CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that the budget was nothing but an attempt made by the government to keep the people of the State wait in anticipation of the implementation of the promises made by it. He said there was no government until the expansion of the State cabinet. it would take almost one year for the State government to present a full fledged budget after the Lok Sabha elections.

He said the State government did not give any specific date for the implementation of Unemployment Wage Scheme and added that the same was missing in the implementation of welfare measures like enhanced financial aid under existing Rythu Bandhu and Asara pension schemes. Vikramarka alleged that the state lacked economic discipline in the state while noting that the state government was trying to take more loans by showing their existing debts as its income.
He opined that it would have been better if the state government had presented a full fledged budget. Commenting on MLC elections, he said that they would contest the elections as the party had majority . He questioned the decision of the ruling TRS party in declaring five candidates for the MLC elections while noting that it did not have Enough numbers to win the fifth seat.
