Telangana Budget session is all set to get postponed by five days and may probably be held from September 15, if the sources are to be believed.
According to the information, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is planning to conduct the budget session from September 15 instead of September 10 which is previous schedule. It is being stated that the CM has called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at Rajbhavan and made this appeal keeping in Medak bypoll in view which is to be held on September 13. Thus, it is likely that the CM may opt for postponing the session by five days on Governor’s nod. Close on the heels of Medak MP byelection which is turned prestigious for the TRS, the State Government plans it easy to conduct the budget session only after the completion of the bypoll.
Along with Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma and other officials, KCR met the Governor and discussed issues related to postponement of the budget session, distribution of IAS officials and division of institutions and corporations as per clause 9 and 10 in AP Bifurcation Act. Earlier the CM held a high level meeting on Budget 2014-15 with all departmental heads, police topbrass and other officials. The CM is believed to have directed the officials on finalising the allocations to various departments. The budget could be around Rs 80,000 cr, according to sources. (NSS)
