New Delhi:The Budget session of Parliament has been formally convened with President Pranab Mukherjee summoning both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to meet from February 23.
On the first day, Mukherjee will address a joint sitting of the two Houses after which Parliament will begin transacting its normal business from the next day.
Separate statements from the Lok Sabha as well as the Rajya Sabhya secretariats said the session would conclude on May 13, subject to exigencies of business.
The Rail Budget will be presented on February 25, the pre-budget economic survey on February 26 and the General budget on February 29.
