State government has released Rs. 35,86,84,000 towards pre & post matric scholarships to minority students under the budget of financial year 2012-13. A GO RT 946 was issued by the finance department in this connection. These amounts have been issued towards pre & post matric scholarships under MSS and CSS schemes.
The order stated that Rs 29,37,81000 is released as additional funds of central scholarship scheme while 6,49,03000 is released as additional funds being 25% of Matching State Share. It must be noted that scholarship payment was delayed as the implementation of the minority scholarship scheme has been handed over to the social welfare department.
The remaining amount of the 4th budget will have to be released till the end of the current month.
