State government has released Rs 62 lakhs 50 thousand for Centre for Educational Development of Minorities (CEDM) and Survey Commissioner Waqf for the financial year 2012-13. The amount has been released as the third quarterly installment. Secretary minority welfare M Dana Kishore issued GO RT 362 by releasing the amount for implementation of various schemes.
As per the GO, Rs 50 lakh have been issued for Centre for Educational Development of Minorities (CEDM) run under the auspices of Osmania University. Minority students are provided coaching for various competitive exams at the centre. For the survey of Waqf properties the government has issued Rs 12 lakh 50 thousand to the Survey Commissioner Waqf.
