Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, taking into account the future requirements for the next 20 to 40 years and avoid recurrence of various problems like lack of infrastructure facilities, traffic hazards etc, has initiated measures to improve the road network by constructing express ways on four sides of Hyderabad, highways and skyways.
Stating this while presenting the annual budget in the state Assembly, Finance Minister Etela Rajender said that keeping in the special efforts of the government in this direction has made an allocation of Rs.7,251 Crore for the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department.
The Finance Minister disclosed that in a few months the construction of other corridors of Metro Rail Project would be completed. After Hyderabad, Warangal was a big city in the state. To provide infrastructure facilities in this city, an amount of Rs.300 Crore is being provided every year and even in this budget too similar allocation was made. And for taking up development works in other corporations in the state an amount of Rs.400 Crore to each municipal corporation was being proposed, he added. (NSS).
