Telangana Assembly Speaker S Madhusudaana Chary today said the current scenario in the nation will be tackled by following the footsteps of Lord Budha and his preachings.
Along with Council Chairman Swamy Goud, the Speaker offered floral tributes to Lord Buddha monolith statue in Hussain Sagar here. Speaking on the occasion, Chary said Buddha’s preachings are only solution for the problems was India facing right now. As Messiah for peace and tranquility, Buddha toured the entire world and his preachings were of the immense value for building a better society with brotherhood and harmony, the Speaker stated. “We need to follow Buddha’s words to make a better living of communal harmony and brotherhood, he stated. He also said, “We can offer real tributes to such stalwarts and great personalities only through celebrating their birth and death anniversaries”.
Swamy Goud said Buddha had visited Telangana region as part of his globe trotting and his preachings helped the people awake and live in peaceful manner. “We have to follow Buddha’s footsteps and implement welfare schemes for the poor”, he said. The He also hoped Telangana would be made into a favourite Budhist destination in the world. (NSS)
