Hyderabad, September 20: A B.Tech graduate involved in a fake certificate racket was arrested by the SR Nagar police on Sunday. On a tip-off, police laid a trap and caught 22-year-old N Ramesh, a native of Guntur, near his hostel at Yousufguda.
Police recovered fake B.Com memo and provisional certificates of Osmania University. Ramesh completed his B Tech from Pithapuram and came to the city for a job. He got acquainted with three persons — Ramesh and Kishore Reddy of Hyderabad and Girish Reddy of Warangal — who are into preparing fake degree certificates of various universities. The gang used to charge Rs 13,000 to prepare a fake certificate.
