Rampur, December 31: Ruling Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) MLA from Swar Tanda Qazim Ali Khan alias Naved Mia today joined the Congress in presence of Union Minister Sachin Pilot here. Qazim Ali, son of former Congress MP Noor Bano, has also been declared the Congress candidate from Swar Tanda by the Union minister. Later talking to mediapersons, the BSP MLA alleged that he left the party as public was against Ms Mayawati for her government s corruption. Qazim was elected first as MLA in 2002 assembly election on Congress ticket but switched to Samajwadi Party in 2003. In 2007 he was elected for the second time to the state assembly from BSP.
