Following a call given by All India Trade Unions and Associations of BSNL, the AP Circle Forum of BSNL Unions and Associations will stage day-long dharna on June 6 at CGMT BSNL office, Doorsanchar Bhavan, Abids and PGM office BSNL Bhavan, Adarshnagar here in protest against granting allowances to the non-absorbed ITS officers in the BSNL.
In a press release, association media in-charge K. Balakrishna has stated that even though the financial condition of the BSNL was not good, the Management has granted all such allowances to the ITS officers depriving BSNL of Rs 1,300-crores. The executive and non-executive unions and associations have strongly opposed the decision of the management.
The association also threatened to go on indefinite strike from June 13 if the Union government failed to resolve their legitimate demands. (NSS)
