Border Security Force has seized four kilogram heroin worth Rs 20 crore in international market near the India-Pakistan border here.
The seizure took place during wee hours today when the patrolling troops observed suspicious movements of smugglers particularly on the Pakistan side of Indo-Pak border at Channmulla Border Out Post, said Anil Paliwal, Inspector General (IG) BSF Punjab Frontier.
Vigil along the border was enhanced and a comprehensive search operation was launched in which four kilogram heroin worth Rs 20 crore in the international market was seized from an agriculture field adjoining the border, he said.
No arrest has been made so far, Paliwal added.
