Srinagar: BSF and Pakistan rangers today held a flag meeting for the first time since heavy ceasefire violation last month post surgical strike and both committed to maintain peace and tranquility along International Border (IB) in Jammu frontier.
A commandant-commander level flag meeting was held in along IB in Suchetgarh sector in Jammu district today, a senior BSF officer said.
The meeting was held in cordial atmosphere, he said.
“It is further added that both side during talk also committed to each other to work for maintaining peace and tranquility on the border”, Officer said.
Last month, there were over 190 ceasefire violations by Pakistan troops along IB in Jammu frontier in which 13 people including 4 BSF personnel were killed and several injured.
