Firozpur (Punjab) : The Border Security Force (BSF) and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), in a joint operation, arrested two smugglers and seized 30 kilograms of heroin from them in Punjab’s border town of Firozpur on Thursday.
Last month, the Delhi Police had arrested five drug peddlers and seized heroin worth Rs. 20 crores from different locations across north India, including a woman smuggler from Nowshera in Punjab.
In February, the BSF killed four smugglers and seized 10 kilograms of heroin in Punjab’s Khem Karan sector near the Indo-Pak border.
Out of the four smugglers, two were Indians, who were there to receive the contraband by the Pakistani smugglers said BSF. (ANI)
